Beef Stew in the Slow Cooker

February 3, 2017

This easy beef stew recipe is a classic slow-cooked dish with chuck roast, carrots, onions, potatoes and tomato paste. Put all the ingredients in a crockpot in the morning and come home to a aroma filled home and a delicious dinner. The warmed up left overs are just as good the next day!

Beef Stew

  • 1 onion cut in quarters

  • 4 Chopped carrots

  • 6 red Potatoes cut in half

(SHORT CUT - Most grocery stores have a package of the above 3 vegetables in the vegetable refrigerator. And they are already cut up)

  • 2 Chopped garlic (or use garlic powder)

  • Beef stew meat (buy it pre cut or buy your favorite beef roast and cut it up into 2x2 pieces)

  • 1 small can tomato paste

  • 2 Tablespoons Worcestershire Sauce

  • 2 Tsp. paprika (you can skip if you don’t have it)

  • ¼ Tsp. Black pepper

  • 1 Tsp salt

  • 2 cups beef broth

  • Parsley (Optional: add fresh cut parsley to the stew after serving)

  1. Spray crockpot with pam for ease of cleaning up afterwards.

  2. Place all of the above in a crockpot

  3. Cook on low for 6-8 hours
